On the fifth day of the Summer School for Nanomaterials (September 10th), the students were invited to the Cleanroom laboratory area to prepare special chips for the electrochemical measurements. They could also visit the laboratory of Photocatalysis where they could study pollutant degradation using the light (Sun).

Workshop 1: "Photocatalytic water purification" - students used the heterogeneous photocatalyst for degradation of the moderate pollutant 4-chlorphenol, they used spectral and chromatographic methods for following the polutant concentration and calculated some kinetcs parameters of degradation.

Workshop 2: "Preparation and characterization of low-dimensional materials in the cleanroom environment" - students learned about the principles of exfoliation and became familiar with mask litography for microstructure fabrication.
