The participants of the Summer School for Nanomaterials visited the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the CAS during the fourth day of the NanoEnviCz Summer School (September 9th). They could explore different methods for material characterization and monitoring structural changes and they also could have an insight to the environment pollutant degradation process.

Workshop 1: "Monitoring of degradation of enviromental polutants" - students prepared samples for TEM and SEM characterization and then studied kinetic of  polutants degradation by HPLC/DAD.

Worksop 2: "Complex analyses for monitoring of structural changes" - students observed the surface changes caused by thermal analysis using the characterization techniques FTIR and X-ray powder diffraction
