Scientific teams of NanoEnviCz participate in discussions about the possibility of obtaining lithium

The NanoEnviCz scientific teams from UJEP discussed the possibilities of lithium recovery and battery recycling. Full report on https://www.prvnizpravy.cz/zpravy/regiony/o-lithiu-v-prestanove/ (in Czech only)

Lithium - an element that many do not even know where to look for it in the periodic table of elements (top three at the top) has recently aroused considerable interest, sometimes embarrassment, passion and disagreement. The reason is the fact that human civilization is becoming dependent on this element for existence.

The Czech Republic has considerable reserves of lithium, which are, figuratively speaking, from Přestanov in sight. The increase in demand for lithium and the rise in its price have raised questions about whether the Czech Republic should use this natural wealth and resume the mining of civaldite, ie the ore in which lithium is found in Cínovec.
