During the second day (4th September 2025) of the Summer school for Nanomaterials, students were involved in the microscopic screening of real samples of nanomaterials, and they tested the electrochemical performance of supercapacitor cells.

More details:

workshop 1: "The boundaries of the nanoscale world through the optics of electron microscopy" - The participants prepared the samples for three microscopic methods (TEM, SEM and AFM) and compared the results of individual methods and evaluated the benefits and limits ofindividual measurements.

workshop 2: "Supercapacitors: The future of energy storage applications"  The students were invited to set up supercapacitor cells and then tested functionality using modern battery testing equipment, including both small and large potentiostats.
